Teens and Young Adults in High-Performing Households
The public story about “executive recovery” is usually about the parent. That is incomplete.
In a certain kind of household the young person is the one who started using the house as cover. They have a car. They have a wing. They have a campus or a first job that still looks like momentum. They have parents who are good at solving problems with logistics and money and who are exhausted enough to miss what the logistics are covering.
Sometimes the adult pattern and the young-adult pattern live in the same kitchen and pretend not to recognize each other.
This is delicate work. It is also common enough that a service which only treats the founder is only treating half the residence.
